In These Shoes is a project imagined and led by Wild Vision Collective in partnership with Arc Stockton, RoC Solid Housing, Nightlight Theatre and Wellington Square, Stockton. With funding from the National Lottery, we, Wild Vision Collective, delivered a series of art workshops with women who have a range of vulnerabilities including care leavers, poor mental health, prison leavers and those recovering from addiction. The workshops, based on the theme of shoes, as a tool to help the women tell their stories, giving them a voice, building their confidence and sense of self-worth. The project culminated in an exhibition located in an empty shop, transforming it into a ‘Shoe Shop’ displaying the creations of the participants.
